It’s October.
I love this time of year! The crisp air - when it’s cold enough for cozy scarves, knitted cardigans, boots and log fires but not too cold for long walks through the crunchy leaves.

This is my season, the textures, the amazing colours and that earthly feeling that comes with Autumn. If I was a cartoon - Autumn would be my background.

Project: Sunhouse - new floor!
After finally managing to get the cats out of this little house, I can now make it my own. Somewhere I can go to sit and daydream or just enjoy my garden. With a fresh lick of paint and new floors, its starting to come together.  The plan is to create this space with stuff we have lying around: the paint was left over from the house, the floor from old skirting board and old furniture with a new leash of life..
There’s still loads I want to do to it and can’t wait to start decorating it with pretty things. Once it’s finished I’ll post before and after shots.

KINBANE CASTLE PAINTING

A few weeks ago I discovered this little castle on a island just off the north coast . It was a bit of hike down to it, but it was so worth it. While I was sitting there, taking in the breathtaking scenery, the dark clouds rolled in and the evening sunlight lit up the castle.. it was so beautiful, like something from a film. I took a mental note and started this painting as soon as I got back to the studio.
